Le groupe métal alternatif Slipknot est créé à Des Moines aux Etats-Unis en 1995. Il se compose de neuf membres qui prennent chacun comme pseudonyme un chiffre. Son line up est le suivant : Sid Wilson (DJ, alias 0), Joey Jordison (batteur, alias 1)paul Grey, (bassiste, alias 2), Chris Fehn (percussionniste, alias 3),James Root (guitariste, alias 4), Craig Jones (programmeur et sampleur, alias 5), Shawn Crahan (percussionniste, alias 6), Mick Thompson (guitariste, alias 7) et Corey Taylor (chanteur, alias 8). En 1996, le groupe sort avec ses propres moyens un 1er album intitulé Mate, Feed, Kill, Repeat. Il se fait remarquer et signe chez le label Roadrunner l'année suivante. En 1999, SlipKnoT sort un album éponyme, suivi 2 ans plus tard par Iowa. En 2002, Corey Taylor participe à la BO de Spiderman, avec le titre Brother et s'occupe de ses projets parallèles. Il signe avec Stone Sour un album. Joey Jordison enregistre avec les Murderdolls l'album Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls. Shawn Crahan signe un album avec To My Suprise. En 2004, Slipknot se retrouve et signe l'album Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses. Et en 2005 : 0.9 Live. Et "Voliminal: Inside the 9" le 4 décembre 2006.

Vous pouvez le voir Mudvayne a un look "un peu spécial"; influencé par le cinéma et plus particulièrement par tout ce qui est science fiction Mudvayne veut créer une ambiance bien particulière lors de ses shows, voilà comment ils expliquent leurs maquillages. La musique se veut également teintée de cette influence SF même si là, c'est moins évident à retrouver.

Produit par GGGarth et mixé par Andy Walace, L.D. 50 les fait connaître auprès du monde entier grâce a une musique oscillant entre Slipknot et Deftones. Ces 4 hommes sont également bien encadrés avec comme "parrain" N°6 de Slipknot ce qui leur vaut de faire régulièrement partie de l'affiche des 9 tarés de Des Moines.
En 2002 le groupe revient relooké et avec une orientation musicale plus posé même si ils gardent la sauvagerie de L.D. 50.

Cradle of Filth est un groupe de Black Metal symphonique Britannique formé en 1991 par Daniel Lloyd Davey, alias Dani Filth. Leur genre a évolué au cours de leur carrière, débutant avec du black metal et se dirigeant progressivement vers un style plus gothique et symphonique.

Dans ses débuts, le groupe change fréquemment de membres et enregistre quatre démos. Cradle of Filth signe avec Cacophonous Records en 1994 et lance The Principle of Evil Made Flesh. Après d'autres changements de line-up, Cradle of Filth lance Dusk and Her Embrace sous le label Music For Nations, album qui a obtenu un certain succès auprès des critiques et augmenté la popularité du groupe à travers l'Europe. Alors que la popularité du groupla popularité du groupe grandit, en partie grâce à ses concerts qui deviennent de plus en plus théâtraux, Cruelty and the Beast obtient d'excellentes critiques et se vend à plus de 200 000 exemplaires et d'autres changements de membres s'ensuivent.

Les 2 et 3 avril 2005, le groupe britannique remplit l'Elysée-Montmartre à Paris. Les cameramen pouvant être aperçus sur la scène annoncent la sortie d'un DVD live. Ce dernier s'appelle Peace through superior firepower, contient le concert à Paris, 6 clips et un documentaire sur la vie du groupe ( sorti le 21 novembre). Leur nouvel album, Thornography est sorti le 16 octobre 2006.
